Surprise! The album CATTLE AND HUM is out today over at Bandcamp: https://markettavern.bandcamp.com/releases It's free for book purchasers and cheap for everyone else.

Cattle And Hum is a 19 song compilation of underground moo-sic from The Kidderminster Market Tavern, the short-lived, sort-of iconic, gloriously chaotic and thoroughly unhygienic Midlands music venue. It features NEW AND UNHEARD music by Fretblanket, Pop Am Good, Panic Beach, massive hits from Scrash, Downward Thing, Cake (UK), Dive and loads more.

This is the soundtrack to our best-selling (in Kidderminster) book 'Memories of the Market Tavern' and collects recently excavated artefacts from the bands that called the venue home..

The source material for these songs varied from decades old demo tapes to vinyl rips, so has been professionally mastered by Doug Shearer (The Fall, Electric Wizard) to enhance your listening experience.

With thanks to all the bands who so generously donated their time and music, I think we have successfully managed to capture the sounds of 1990 - 96 while losing most of the smells.

If you have already bought the book, you should have received an email with a free download to the album, if you buy the book now you'll autonatically get one, and if you hate books, but love ROCKING OUT you can buy the album on its own now.

Cow that's what I call Music...
